Central Presbyterian Church

Worship & Music

At the heart of the life of Central Presbyterian Church is worship of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Uplifting and thoughtful Sunday worship celebrations begins at 10:30 AM.  The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated the first Sunday of each month, and on special occasions such as Maundy Thursday.  Special worship services center around such events and themes as the Sacrament of Baptism, evangelism, stewardship dedication, mission, ordination, and graduation.  A well-staffed nursery is provided for all services.

Central Presbyterian Church glorifies Christ with an outstanding ministry of music.  Opportunities are provided for participation in the Adult Chancel Choir which rehearses each Thursday evening at 7:30 PM from September through May, Bell Choir which rehearses each Thursday evening at 6:30 PM from September through May, and special musical offerings, particularly during the summer, but also throughout the year.  Central has been recently blessed with a new Allen Renaissance 80 stop digital organ which fills the sanctuary with lovely classical, gospel, and contemporary selections.  A children's music ministry offers selections for special occasions.  Special afternoon and evening programs featuring local musicians and groups are presented as a gift to the community.
